This Academy for Free Arts positiones itself in an obstinate way in its surroundings. A free standing volume for students of an Academy for Free Arts. The principal for this project is based on the lines between the corners of its surrounding buildings. These diagonal lines form an all binding route through out the building. This route is the leading thread of the project. The route enables new sights on the location while also providing new programmatic links between the different spaces. Not only the interior is shaped by the new diagonal lines but also the construction which is part of the exterior facades.
